DelDOT Toll and Fee Increases Coming Soon to Support Infrastructure Investments

Following the signing of the toll increase resolution by Secretary of Transportation Shanté Hastings and the passage of HB 164 by the Delaware General Assembly, the Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has begun work to implement the toll increases and new DMV fees. These increases will provide the department with an estimated $107 million annually in additional revenue to support needed investments in infrastructure statewide.

These text message alerts are a scam designed to trick recipients into paying an undisclosed amount, while also gaining access to their personal, private, and financial data. The DMV urges all residents and customers not to click on any links soliciting money for unpaid traffic violations, toll violations, or account replenishment. The Delaware DMV and E-ZPass Delaware will not contact you via email or text demanding payment for a violation.

DMV on the Go 2025 Season

The DMV on the Go is an ADA accessible trailer, features four fully functional workstations and made its debut in April of 2021. It comes complete with an awning for bad weather, a wheelchair lift, and it performs all transactions as a traditional DMV, excluding inspections and road exams. Uninsured motorists or in-person driver improvement assistance still need to visit the Wilmington, Delaware City, Dover, or Georgetown DMV location.
